Harun (AS) was the older brother of Musa (AS). When Allah chose Musa (AS) to be a Prophet, Musa (AS) made a beautiful dua from his heart: My Lord, expand my chest for me, ease my task, and appoint a helper from my family: my brother Harun (AS). Strengthen me through him and let him share my task, so that we may glorify You much and remember You much.
Allah granted this straight away! He said: We will strengthen your arm through your brother and give you both authority.
Together, Musa (AS) and Harun (AS) stood in front of the most powerful king in the world and called him to worship Allah. What a brave pair of brothers! 🦁
A good brother or sister who helps you do good things is one of the best gifts from Allah! Look after your siblings! 💛
While Musa (AS) was on the mountain, people made a golden calf to worship. Harun (AS) tried very hard to stop them! He said: O my people, you are only being tested by this. Your Lord is the Most Merciful. So follow me and obey my order. But they nearly turned on him.
When Musa (AS) came back down and saw what happened, he was filled with great zeal for Allah. He held his brother by the beard out of great concern.
Harun (AS) said calmly and lovingly: O son of my mother, do not hold me by my beard or my head. I feared you would say I had caused a division among the children of Israel and had not waited for your word.
Then Musa (AS) made dua: My Lord, forgive me and my brother and admit us into Your mercy. You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.
When something concerns us, we turn to Allah with dua just like Musa (AS) did! Dua is always the best response. 💛
Harun (AS) stood beside his brother Musa (AS) with bravery and love. He tried his best to guide his people even when it was very hard. He was a gentle, eloquent, and devoted Prophet.
