🌃 The Prophet Sent to a City That Had Gone Wrong

🏙️😔🙏👼🏻🌟💛

Lut (AS) was the nephew of Ibrahim (AS). Allah sent him to a city where the people were doing very wrong things and had turned away from Allah.

Lut (AS) said to them: Will you not fear Allah? I am a trustworthy messenger to you. So fear Allah and obey me.

He was patient with them even when they were hostile and threatened to expel him. He never stopped calling them to what was right.

Some angels came to Lut (AS)'s home in the form of young men. The wicked people of the city came rushing to his door. Lut (AS) was distressed on account of his guests.

He said: O my people, fear Allah and do not disgrace me concerning my guests. Is there not among you a man of reason?

But they kept pushing and would not stop. Then the angels said: O Lut (AS), we are messengers of your Lord. They will never reach you.

The angels struck their eyes so they could not find the door. ✨

Lut (AS) and his daughters walked away into the night. By morning, Allah made the highest part of the city its lowest and rained down upon it stones of hard clay. Lut (AS)'s wife, who had betrayed her household, perished with them. But Lut (AS) and his daughters were saved. 🛡️
